Pay the fees The applicant must pay AED 300 to replace a lost or damaged identity document, in addition to AED 70 if the application is submitted through typing centers, or AED 40 if the application is submitted through the electronic form on the ICA website. These rates apply to all citizens of the United Arab Emirates, GCC nationals and expatriate residents. An Emirates ID card is valid for AED 100 per year. You can renew your Emirates ID online through the Emirates ID e-services portal.
You'll need to have your passport and Emirates ID card handy, as well as a copy of your previous renewal or the original Emirates ID card. Replacement identifiers will incur a fee of AED 30 and the renewal process will take 15 business days. If you apply for a new Emirates ID, you can also do so online. Be sure to read the instructions on the website, which are available in Arabic and English.
The time needed to renew your Emirates ID may vary depending on the method you choose. The express service fee for expatriates will allow you to obtain your identification within 24 hours, but it is an additional charge.
